DRESS A GIRL AROUND THE WORLD

Greenland Women’s Club hosted a service project for Dress-A-Girl Around The World, March 29, 2025. Fourteen people participated in the sewing event, we completed 14 dresses, 17 dress making kits, and collected 7 pairs of shorts for the foundation. We have held sewing days in the past and hope to continue this project on a regular basis.

This wonderful organization provides dresses to girls in developing and/or poverty-stricken countries. The dresses not only provide for the basic need of clothing, but also discourages human trafficking by showing potential perpetrators that the girl receiving the dress is being watched over (all dresses are given an official Dress-A-Girl tag that is stitched to them).

Dress a Girl Around the World is a Campaign under Hope 4 Women International (a 501 (c) 3 organization) bringing dignity to women around the world since 2006.  Hope 4 Women International is a nondenominational independent Christian organization.  They work with over 90 countries to provide dresses to girls.
