Fighting Homelessness

Nashaway Women's Club Bobbie Knickerbacker The club donated $500 to Harbor Homes; $450 to Family Promise at Anne Marie House; and $200 to the Shelter Box Project, which provides blankets and other supplies to people living out of doors after a natural disaster. $500 was given to Habitat for Humanity.

TOWN WIDE YARD SALE

GFWC Pembroke Women's Club Georgette Kent We hosted a town wide yard sale for the first time. We had 50 homes participate and 200 maps were passed out. Signs were posted at all the homes. We offered advertising, yard sale sign and maps for a $15 donation. We were very happy with the results.

OLD HOME DAY

GFWC Pembroke Women's Club Georgette Kent At Old Home Day, the PWC sold strawberry/blueberry shortcakes. We help set up on the morning of the event and had members work until 6pm.

MUM Sale

GFWC Pembroke Women's Club Georgette Kent We had mums delivered to the town hall for sale on September 7, 2019. Many of the mums were pre-sold and we had some to be bought on that day. People that pre-bought could drive and we would load the car with the mums. It was a very successful event

Fudge fundraiser

GFWC Pembroke Women's Club Georgette Kent This year we had a fudge sale in November. We sold 32 1/2 lbs and 24 lbs of a variety of flavors. Chocolate was the favorite and we added a new flavor this year peppermint.

Waiting room activity bags for kids

GFWC Hudson Women's Club Phyllis Appler Our Secret Buddy for March was the Lamprey Health Center. We assembled zip-lock bags with a small book, usually Dr. Seuss, a coloring book and crayons, and a small game or activity to do while waiting for the doctor. We know that the kits did not last long! We made about 30 kits.

Gift to Homeless Shelter of Strafford County

Women's Club of Somersworth Susan McCoy This is a new charity for our club. We purchased 10/ $50.00 Walmart gift cards for the home in Rochester NH.

Lydia's House of Hope

Women's Club of Somersworth Susan McCoy We have supported Lydia's House of Hope for several years.
18 baby/child hand knit caps and 6 scarves. Also $500 for the purchase of laptop computers.
