Narrative Summary
May is National Lyme Disease month, Salem Woman's Club members were educated as to the effects physically, emotionally, and neurologically by club members Deb Beattie, the founder of the local Lyme disease support group, Lyme Hope New Hampshire. A Salem Woman's Club member was instrumental in getting the word out about by establishing a Facebook page to connect area residents for Lyme Hope New Hampshire.
Salem Woman's Club in collaboration with the Kelley Library sponsored novelist Dana Biscotti Myskowksi and David Hunter, Chairman of the Bedford NH Lyme Disease Council, for a discussion of the impact, testing, and treatment of Lyme and other tick born diseases. Dana will be talking about how her own experience with Lyme disease led to her writing the novel I Cannot Play With You.
